Alexandra Soldatova is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist, born in 1983 in Belarus, currently based in Poland.
Since 2020 she works with constant anxiety that follows each artist and person from and in non-democratic countries. Before she used to work on long-term research projects in documentary and conceptual photography in Belarus mainly inspired by cultural phenomena that seemed strange to her.
She always had been inspired by the philosophical questions of life of a "simple" ordinary person in Eastern Europe. What influences his/her, but also Alexandra's as a part of the culture, choice, what he/she values and loves and why?
Alexandra has a master's degree in mathematics. This probably still influences her practice a lot making it on the one hand visually very simple and on the other, adding some less obvious meanings to it.
Alexandra's projects were exhibited at various international exhibitions and festivals and published in art magazines all over the world.
